Last week, I saw both my favorite artists play live in Kansas City. I have posted my highlights from the John Mayer concert, and now I’m going to share my photos from the Matchbox Twenty show. They are my all time favorite group, and Goo Goo Dolls and Kate Earl added to the overall excellent performance.
Kate Earl opened the show, and she was great!
I met Kate after her set. She was so courteous about spending time with all her fans to shake their hands, ask their names, pose for pictures, sign autographs. She made sure she thanked me for supporting her dream, one I was extremely happy to support. She has a good voice and kind, engaging stage presence to go with her great songwriting. She’s also absolutely beautiful, which isn’t a bad trait to have for performing.
I look like a double time fangirl here with my Matchbox Twenty tour shirt (from their last concert I attended) and my goofy smile over talking to Kate.
Goo Goo Dolls took the stage next.
That’s Johnny Rzeznik in the background!
Goo Goo Dolls performed a great set. They played most of their hits, and a lot of the crowd sang along.
My favorite band hit the stage!
Paul had a gay ol’ time.
Kyle Cook and Rob Thomas rocked out!
Paul and Rob sang together.
I caught Rob smiling while he introduced a song.
Matchbox Twenty performed their amazingly written songs.
My mom snapped a photo of me with my favorite band.
Kyle seemed the most photogenic.
Rob played a little piano.
These guys ruled the crowd!
I had a fantastic time!
